Chapter delegates play in key role in the Glion Alumni Association organization. They are volunteers who act in order to keep the Glionnais communities active and linked together at the local level.

We are happy to announce that some proactive Alumni have recently accepted this role in the following countries :

Tunisia – Nourredine Fourati (1995),

China, Shanghai – Giuglio Pagliai (2004.2)
China, Beijing  – Allen Zixiang Li (2000),
China, Hong Kong – Angela Barbara Lam (2007.1)
China, Manzhouli (Northern China) – Joachim Heineke (1992)

Italy – Francesca Bonzo (2000)

Romenia – Cristian Cutas (1998)

Morocco – Jean-Bernard Coudon (1988)

We would like to highlight the qualities all the chapters delegates have : Conviviality – Availability – Discretion – Entertaining and motivating aptitude – Diplomacy. We warmly thank all of those who have set up and developed a chapter, as we know that it requires time, energy and personal dedication.

Chapter delegates also act as contact persons who answer questions from other Alumni about the situation in their countries.

In some locations, the chapters are flourishing and the Glionnais community is very happy; in Paris, Véronique Judlin (1998) and Nicolas Alquie (2003.2) have organized an event in January, which has attracted almost 50 participants, the largest ever. Congratulations !

All members in the major cities are also actively supporting the life of the local chapter as it is the case in the UK, where an exchange of valuable professional information also recently took place thanks to Jan Wilhelm Witt (2006.1) and Nuno Galvao (1999) (see the Industry Reports & Information community blog). This is good practice enriching the community life.

Some of  these events are also financially supported by the Laureate Regional Admission Directors.

A variety of events are posted on the AAG website, such as EUROCHRIE conferences, class reunions, local gatherings  to the events organized by Swiss Learning. These events offer opportunities to meet new people, learn and have fun; they are networking platforms, which are useful nowadays, as stated by Bob Burg :

"I like to define networking as cultivating mutually beneficial, give-and-take, win-win relationships… The end result may be to develop a large and diverse group of people who will continually refer a lot of business to us, while we do the same for them”.
