Living the (Dead Sea) Dream: meet entrepreneurial alumna Louise Lisztman
Louise Lisztman, a Glion alumna, founded Dead Sea Dream, a skincare brand inspired by her Franco‑Israeli heritage and her deep personal connection with the Dead Sea. She noticed a lack of sustainable, affordable skincare made with minerals from that special region, which prompted her to launch the brand.
To stay authentic, her products are formulated using Dead Sea water and minerals, and manufactured and packaged locally near the Dead Sea to reduce carbon footprint. She launched the brand officially in mid‑September after nearly three years of work.
Her debut range includes six products such as a Nourishing Hand & Foot Cream, Purifying Mineral Mud Mask, Defining Body Cream, Glowing Hair Mask, Floatation Bath Salt Crystals, and a Refining Body Scrub. Each item aims to offer the feel of ancient Middle Eastern skincare rituals adapted for modern, urban lifestyles.
Louise draws on her previous experience in hospitality — roles in food & beverage consultancy, finance with Mandarin Oriental, and a position at the Four Seasons — and the business skills she acquired at Glion, including finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, and cross‑cultural exposure.
She’s also committed to environmental stewardship, partnering with the Dead Sea Revival Project to help protect the Dead Sea ecosystem. Looking ahead, Louise hopes to expand distribution beyond Europe, reach break‑even, and maybe provide internships for Glion students in marketing or operations.
